Call to Worship

Leader: Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together! Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

All: The Lord is near to the broken-hearted and saves the crushed in spirit. The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.

Lider: Engrandeced a Jehová conmigo, Y exaltemos a una su nombre. Gustad, y ved que es bueno Jehová; Dichoso el hombre que confía en él.

Confession and Assurance

Confession: Father, we confess that at times we live as if we had no hope. We live for short-term happiness instead of eternal joys, we place our hope in money and possessions instead of you. Forgive us for our disordered hopes, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Assurance: If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. (Ps. 130: 3-4)
